3. The Artists’ Club at Lancaster Great House.

May 12th from 6.30pm onwards. Roger Chubb will host the evening with a presentation of the gallery’s current antique furniture exhibition. This will be followed by a talk on Victorian etiquette.

Twenty minutes before Mr Chubb’s presentation, the club members and interested parties are asked to meet in order to discuss various matters concerning the club.

THE SPEIGHTSTOWN TOWN SQUARE ART EVENT

Currently developing an art exhibition which will be held every Saturday for the purpose of promoting both established and up and coming artists. It is suggested you bring an easel and paint on the premises as this is always a big attraction for the general public. The exhibition opens at Queens Park Gallery on Sunday 10th May 2009 at 6:30pm followed by a viewing at Zemicon Gallery. Exhibition ends 31st May 2009.

GALLERY OF CARIBBEAN ART 

’Lost Wings of the Angels’ featuring the artwork of Mr. Moussa Sene Absa.  Moussa overflows with creativity. He is an artist, writer, musician and a film director. He made his debut as an actor, then moved to directing with the production of his own stage play, “La Legende de Ruba”. His talent as a painter is also well established and his work has been exhibited in Senegal, Europe and North America. The Exhibition will continue through to May 16th.

ERROL BARROW CENTRE FOR CREATIVE IMAGINATION

’A Hot and Quiet Evening’:  An exhibition by the Cape Town artist, Peter Clarke, now in his 80th year. It reveals deeper connections between Cape Town and Barbados. Comprising 41 exquisite works on paper (lino and wood cuts with some water colour) and one collage, the exhibition covers the span of the artist’s illustrious career from the 1950’s to the present.
