Artists Club features ‘Concept to The Catwalk’. Tina Puckerin (
puckerintina@yahoo.com ) will host the evening with Fashion designer Raj Paul who will bring along a few models and give us a little demonstration from concept to the catwalk. Lancaster Great House on Tuesday July 10th, from 6.30 onward. All are welcome. As usual, contributions towards our Buffet & Bar are always welcome. The Morningside Gallery, Barbados Community College presents ’The Artistic Licence Art Exhibition’ featuring artists Alex Carrington - Michael Burke - Debbie-Ann Estwick - Rommel James. “To put it simply, we entitled the show "Artistic License" because we wanted to explore what art we could produce without having boundaries. After all, what is art without the freedom of expression? The exhibition includes some of the more traditional types of paintings, but there are also some pieces that we were more playful with, incorporating other fields within the arts such as fashion and literature.”. The Exhibition will run from Sunday July 22nd until Friday July 27th, 2007. Hours 10am-7pm daily

Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination “IMAGINE YOUTH” - Summer Arts Programme to be held by the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, UWI, Cave Hill Campus, for Teens ages 14 to 17. Classes will be held over six weeks from Monday, July 9th to Friday, August 17th, 2007 in Drama, Dancing, and Singing, as well as Stage Make-up, Creative Writing and Stage Management, including Lighting and Sound, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00 pm. This programme has been specially developed for Teens with experience in the Arts, who are very keen to continue in the broader development of their skills. The Programme will conclude with a special production and presentation of the work and talents of all the participants in the various disciplines on August 17th & 18th (times to be announced) called “FREE YUH MIND”. The fees for “IMAGINE YOUTH” - Summer Arts Programme are as follows: $500 - Registration and payment – Wednesday, June 27th to Thursday, July 5th, 2007. $550 – Late Registration and payment – Monday, July 9th to Friday, July 13th, 2007 . * Weekly rates are also available for participants who will not be able attend the entire 6-week programme *Parents and Guardians are asked to collect Registration Forms from the EBCCI Administrative Office to complete and submit along with payment in Cash or Manager’s cheque (made payable to University of the West Indies).
